Biography

Mr. Martin is a strong advocate of “Preventive Law” and a leader in Alternative Dispute Resolution. For more than 35 years, he has resolved problems for owners, general contractors, subcontractors, sureties, design professionals and their professional liability insurers. He has negotiated contracts and litigated, arbitrated and mediated claims for projects ranging from simple one-story structures to complex projects including a $300 million luxury resort, high-rise commercial office buildings, airport terminals and utility infrastructure projects. In  addition to serving his clients as a advocate, he also serves as a mediator or arbitrator on construction cases. His  experience as a neutral includes participation on several Dispute Resolution Boards. He is often involved through his various trade organizations in drafting and seeking passage of legislation beneficial to the construction industry.
